Every product here starts with tallow from our own 100% grass-fed, grass-finished herd, raised on Florida pasture with no hormones, no antibiotics, and no GMOs. We're the farm behind the jar, not a brand that bought fat from a stranger's cattle. Small batches, simple scents like lavender, calendula, and peppermint, and unscented options for sensitive skin.

Why Tallow for Skincare?

Tallow is rendered beef fat, and before modern lotions existed, it's what people moisturized with. It's rich in palmitic, stearic, and oleic acids, the same building blocks found in your skin's own sebum, and grass-fed tallow naturally carries fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K. What is tallow skincare?

Skincare made with rendered beef fat as the base. Tallow's fatty acid profile is close to your skin's natural oils, so it absorbs well and moisturizes deeply with very few ingredients.

Is whipped tallow good for your face?

Our Pure Gold face butter is whipped specifically for facial use. Start with a pea-sized amount on slightly damp skin. It's concentrated, so a small jar lasts.

Does tallow skincare smell like beef?

No. Properly rendered tallow is nearly scentless. Our products are lightly scented with lavender, lemon balm, calendula, or peppermint, and the charcoal soap is unscented.

What's the difference between tallow body butter and lotion?

Most lotions are mostly water held together with emulsifiers and preservatives. Tallow body butter is fat your skin can actually use, so a little goes further and there's nothing in the jar you can't pronounce.

Why does grass-fed matter for skincare?

Fat reflects the animal's diet. Our tallow comes from cattle raised entirely on Florida pasture, and grass-fed tallow naturally contains fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K.

Great flavor!

I’ve been buying 1/4 shares for almost a year now and my go to options near Tampa are sold out for the rest of this year. I don’t remember how I heard about Clover Farms, but I’m glad I did! Ground beef flavor is what I’m used to now, not at all like super market beef. If you haven’t purchased from a rancher / farm yet, you might not realize how tasteless beef is at grocery stores and even a lot of butchers.
